Our Dampier Reserve Pinot Noir has one of our most complex aromatics and palates. It is bright but smooth, fruity but earthy, light but long lasting, elegant but approachable. Aged in neutral oak barrels for 20 months, longer than most Pinot Noirs ever see oak, the wine exudes a smooth quality you rarely see in such light bodied Pinot Noirs. Supple notes of wild strawberries dance alongside bright notes of cranberry and orange marmalade. Floral aromas of violet and rose hip stand out with hints of barnyard and clove. Fatty foods like salami and creamy havarti match beautifully with pH of 3.5 in the Dampier Reserve. Though, one of our favorite pairings with the Dampier Vineyard Pinot Noir is Debbie’s Northwest Smoked Salmon Toasts with Goat Cheese and Capers – a custom recipe is included with each bottle sold. A very limited case production of 74 cases.
