2015 Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot

2015 Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot

Wine Club Price: $34.20

An irresistible classic Bordeaux-style wine. A perfectly oaked, rich wine full of raspberry, cedar wood and orange blossom notes.

Our 2015 Cabernet/Merlot blend is a traditional Bordeaux style blend and delightfully balanced with 50% Reid Vineyard Merlot and 50% Moody Vineyard Cabernet. We consider both of the component wines to be among the very best available in the 2015 harvest, blended together to bring you the best of both worlds. An irresistible and elegant blend with ripe notes of raspberry and crisp autumn apples. A perfectly oaked palate full of cedar wood, rose petal, orange blossom, and a touch of star anise, and supple tannin structure, make the wine perfect for sipping at happy hour and pairing with a variety of foods. One of our favorite appetizer pairings is Gina’s Easy Olive and Roast Red Pepper Tapenade – a recipe included with every purchase.

Reid Vineyard Merlot has long been our flagship Merlot and while now flanked by new offerings from McKinley Springs and Elephant Mountain Vineyards, it continues to be one of the very best. The Moody Cabernet Sauvignon is now vying with the Cab from Firethorn Vineyard, Bangsund Vineyard, and Hillside Vineyard for best-of-breed. 23 months in combination of new and neutral oak barrels, 300 cases bottled.
